You don’t have to be Arrogant
Confidence rises to a certain level but when it reaches its peak, you will never know when it becomes overconfidence that might displease your interviewer. If you show that you know everything, it will give a bad impression to your potential employer. It will look like you are not open for any suggestions from others. Thus, if possible, keep a low profile that says that you are an open person, willing to learn from others.
Do Not Have Unrealistic Expectations
Demonstrate that you would prove to be a valuable asset to the organization. In lieu of that, having too many expectations from your potential employer can lead to disappointment. Appraisals and salary hike is solely the matter of decision makers to implement and if you expect that every year there is a salary increment, it might take you away from the job. Expecting higher position in the job within a year will depend upon your individual performance. If asked about your expectations, say that you would try to do your best to become a valuable asset through hard work, determination and dedication towards the responsibilities.
Don’t Ask About Salary Too Early
Even if it is quite important to know how much you’ll be offered, don’t ask about it too early as it could convey a wrong message to the interviewer that you are just looking for money and work is not that you are interested in first place.
